Quick Procedure IDS (QPIDS)

Quick Procedure IDS (QPIDS)

The Quick Path Information Disclosure Statement (QPIDS) Pilot Program is outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding between The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and The Patent Office Professional Association (POPA). The program is intended to eliminate the requirement for processing of a Request for Consideration (RCE) with an Information Disclosure Statement (IDS) filed after allowance and before or after payment of the issue fee in order for the IDS to be considered by the examiner. There are two paths for this pilot, depending on when the IDS is filed relative to the payment of an issue fee. This pilot program has been extended until September 2018.

QPIDS has been extended through September 30, 2018.
